Dave Cooper

Well, I got the chance to meet an amazing Ottawa artist yesterday , Dave Cooper, through a friend. We were invited to check out his studio and we got to see some of his works in progress for upcoming shows. Let me just say....holy....freakin'.....amazing! His work is just sooo insanely detailed and just such a joy to take in. The amount of detail that you get to see in his work in person far outweighs any detail ever captured in any photo I've ever seen of his work. No duh, obviously you will see more detail in a piece standing right in front of it then you would in any magazine...but the overwhelming amount of extra detail that you see in his pieces in person, is such an awesome surprise. If you haven't had a chance to check out his work yet....please do...it's definitely worth it!

Open the Doors!

Tonight is the opening reception of The Variety Show at Halogen Gallery in Seattle. If you are in the area, please swing by and check out the show....there are some amazing artists participating and you can join in on the Belltown Art walk!

Sneak Peeks

Yes, I am lame and I have not been very dedicated to my blog as of late. I've been busy being creative though, so hopefully that will count for something! ;)

I've been working on some greeting cards as well featuring some really cute characters that I have created. I will hopefully be posting about them over the next week or two.

Time to get the brushes wet again, I have 2 group shows coming up in June. The Swoon show at The Black Maria Gallery and the Variety Show at Halogen Gallery.

Bring in the Clowns ACEO cards
